The Nagra BPS is a phono preamplifier manufactured by Nagra from 2009 to 2015 for moving-coil (MC) and moving-magnet (MM) cartridges. It uses transistor circuitry derived from the PL-P and VPS designs, Nagra-made magnetic glass-metal-core input transformers in μ-metal shielding, a battery-based power supply, and user-configurable loading modules and jumpers, with 64 dB total gain switchable to 49 dB. The unit has a single-board construction with directly soldered connections, gold-plated RCA inputs and outputs, a brushed anodized-aluminium enclosure, 20 Hz–30 kHz RIAA-conform frequency response, and dimensions of 110 × 27 × 160 mm.
