Terms of Service
Last updated 2026. These terms apply to everyone who uses audiophilia.ai (“Audiophilia”, “we”). By creating an account, posting a listing, making an offer or otherwise using the site, you agree to them.
1. What Audiophilia is
Audiophilia is a venue where private individuals and businesses list high-end audio equipment for sale, for trade, or for trade plus cash, and where members discuss gear. We are not a party to any transaction between members. We do not own, inspect, take possession of, ship, escrow or guarantee any item listed on the site.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, for keeping your credentials secure, and for the accuracy of the information in your profile. Do not impersonate another person or create accounts to evade a suspension.
3. Listings
You may only list gear you actually own and have the right to sell or trade. Listings must describe the item honestly — including its condition grade, functional faults, cosmetic flaws, modifications, missing accessories and service history. Photos must be of the actual item where photos are provided.
You may edit, mark as sold, or delete your own listings at any time. We may remove any listing that is inaccurate, misleading, prohibited, or that breaches these terms.
4. Offers, trades and completing a deal
An offer — cash, barter, or barter with a cash delta — is an expression of interest communicated through the site. When a seller accepts an offer, the seller and the offering member are expected to complete the transaction in good faith, and to agree payment, packing, shipping, insurance and inspection arrangements directly with each other.
Payment and delivery happen off-platform between the members involved. You are responsible for choosing payment methods and shipping arrangements you are comfortable with, and for any taxes, duties or fees that apply to your transaction.
5. Used gear is sold as-is; no warranty from us
Almost everything traded here is pre-owned. Unless a seller expressly states otherwise in writing, items are sold as-is, where-is, with all faults. Audiophilia gives no warranty of any kind — express or implied — regarding any item, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, authenticity, provenance, remaining service life, or the transferability of a manufacturer’s warranty.
Catalog specifications, MSRP figures and estimated market values shown on the site are informational only. They are aggregated from public sources and observed prices, may be incomplete or out of date, and are not an appraisal or a guarantee of value.
6. Prohibited items and conduct
Do not use Audiophilia to list or trade:
- stolen, counterfeit, or knowingly misrepresented equipment;
- items you do not possess, drop-ship arrangements presented as personal sales, or listings intended to harvest payments;
- gear with removed or altered serial numbers, or with unsafe or non-compliant electrical modifications;
- anything whose sale is illegal in your or the buyer’s jurisdiction.
Do not harass other members, post spam or undisclosed paid promotions, scrape the catalog at scale, attempt to bypass site security or rate limits, or use the site to run an off-platform payments scheme.
7. Community content
You retain ownership of the text and images you post. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content on the site for as long as you keep it posted. Keep discussion civil and on-topic; we may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms.
8. Fees
Listing and using the site is currently free. If we introduce transaction fees, posting fees or paid placements, we will state the fee and obtain your agreement before it applies to you.
9. Disputes between members
Disputes about payment, condition, shipping damage or non-delivery are between the members involved. We may, at our discretion, provide records of on-platform activity, but we have no obligation to mediate, refund or compensate.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Audiophilia is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost profits, or losses arising from a transaction between members, from inaccurate catalog or valuation data, or from any interruption of the service.
11. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the date above. You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or create risk for other members.
