The Nagra VPS is a dual-input valve phono preamplifier manufactured from 2007 to 2020, designed for use with a line preamplifier such as the Nagra JAZZ. It uses a compact brushed-aluminium chassis, gold-plated internal circuits, in-house-wound input transformers for moving-coil cartridges, WBT gold-plated RCA connectors, and adaptive loading modules; input circuit A accepts MM and MC inputs, while optional input circuit B supports MM/MC or MM-only operation. Its tube stage uses ECC 81 and ECC 83 valves with 34 dB gain, the MC transformer provides 11 dB gain, the transistor stage provides 15 dB gain, and correction is selectable between RIAA 1953 and IEC 1976.
