The Nagra PREAMP II-S is a tube preamplifier manufactured by Nagra, with two 12AX7/ECC83 tubes and one 12AT7/ECC81 tube selected by Nagra Laboratory. It provides selectable 0 dB and +6 dB gain, output impedance of 9 Ω at 0 dB or 18 Ω at +6 dB, 10 Hz–50 kHz frequency response, and dynamic range above 125 dB. The unit uses an external 12–12.6 V DC power supply with a traditional LEMO connector, a phenolic damping layer beneath its aluminum top cover, XLR and RCA inputs, two XLR outputs, and one RCA output.
