5T
The Reed 5T is a tangentially tracking pivoted tonearm made by Reed, using a laser and linear sensor array for position control, a limited-rotation sectional torque motor, and a low-noise thrust-sleeve bearing. It has a user-replaceable armwand with an effective mass of 8–16 g depending on material; available armwand materials include wenge, Makassar ebony, cocobolo, and light or dark teak. Specifications include a 251 mm mounting distance, ±5 MOA tracking error, ±0.2 mm precision VTA adjustment, ±8° azimuth adjustment, and a 10–30 mN downforce range; it is supplied with the battery-powered Reed BS-12V power supply.
