Reed 1H is a tonearm made by Reed, using a carbon-fiber armwand damped with soft wood to produce acoustic properties comparable to wooden armwands. It has a cardanic bearing system with thrust rotation bearings on the vertical axis and thrust pivot bearings on the horizontal axis, plus azimuth adjustment, a replaceable headshell, VTA adjustment, and magnetic antiskating. Available effective lengths are 9.5″, 10.5″, and 12″, with mounting distances of 223, 251.6, and 295.6 mm respectively, height adjustment from 28–48 mm, and either a 5-pin DIN connector or Finewire 37 cable output.
