The Børresen Z1 is a stand-mounted loudspeaker made by Børresen Acoustics, using one Børresen planar ribbon tweeter and one 5-inch bass/midrange driver. Its tweeter operates from approximately 2.5 kHz upward, has 94 dB efficiency, a 0.01 g moving mass, and no transformer; the bass/midrange driver uses a composite membrane with carbon layers and a 4 mm Nomex honeycomb core, with a 5.5 g membrane and an 8 mm voice coil. It has a parallel crossover configuration, a 50 Hz–50 kHz frequency response, 86 dB sensitivity, 6-ohm impedance, and a recommended amplifier rating above 50 W.
