Z2

The Børresen Z2 is a floorstanding loudspeaker made by Børresen Acoustics, with a 40 Hz–50 kHz frequency response, 86 dB sensitivity, 4-ohm impedance, and recommended amplifier power above 50 W. It uses a Børresen planar ribbon tweeter operating from approximately 2.5 kHz, two bass/midrange drivers measuring 5 and 8 inches, and a composite membrane made from two thin carbon layers surrounding a 4 mm Nomex honeycomb core. The bass/midrange drivers use an 8 mm voice coil with 0.06 mH induction, while the speaker employs a parallel crossover with components adopted from the 0-Series and adjustable feet designed for Ansuz Darkz resonance-control supports.
