The Nagra VI is an 8-channel digital audio recorder made by Nagra, with four microphone preamplifier inputs, two line inputs shared with AES inputs, and a stereo mix on channels 7 and 8. It records 16- or 24-bit linear PCM Broadcast Wave files with iXML metadata at sampling rates from 44.1 to 192 kHz, using a 120 GB internal hard disk and hot-swappable Compact Flash media. The recorder has a 3.5-inch 320 × 200 sunlight-readable color TFT display, SMPTE/EBU time code with chase synchronization, a lithium-ion battery, and an interchangeable machined aluminum or plastic front panel.
