Record Box E, made by Pro-Ject Audio Systems, is a phono preamplifier with RIAA equalization for MM and MC cartridges, an integrated A/D converter, and USB output for digitizing vinyl. It provides 40 dB MM gain and 60 dB MC gain, uses a Burr Brown PCM2904 16-bit Delta-Sigma converter with 32, 44.1, and 48 kHz sampling rates, and has USB 1.1 digital serial output. The circuit uses SMD construction with low-noise components, internal metal shielding, gold-plated RCA sockets, and an external 18 V/500 mA DC power supply; it measures 120 × 32 × 100 mm, or 115 mm deep with sockets, and weighs 250 g without the power supply.
