The Grail MK III.1 is a phonograph preamplifier made by Van den Hul, with a hybrid design and support for two moving-coil cartridge inputs. Its circuitry uses coil-only RIAA equalization, an automatically adapting moving-coil input stage with approximately 10–400 ohm matching, separately regulated amplifier sections with gyrators, an external shielded transformer, and a gold-trace printed circuit board mounted to reduce microphonics. Specifications include 56/64/73 dB gain settings, 330-ohm RCA output impedance, 15 Vss maximum undistorted output, ≥77 dB(A) signal-to-noise ratio, and a solid milled-aluminium cabinet.
