ES8 Fully-Balanced Electrostatic Headphone Amplifier / Preamplifier
The Woo Audio ES8 is a fully balanced, pure-tube electrostatic headphone amplifier and preamplifier for PRO-bias (580 V) electrostatic headphones. It uses four EL84 power tubes wired in triode and four matched 8532 JAN driver tubes in a push-pull, direct-drive, Class-A circuit with custom output transformers, partial point-to-point wiring, and PTFE tube sockets. Connectivity includes one RCA input, one XLR input, one XLR preamplifier output, and two STAX Pro Bias 5-pin outputs; maximum output is 800 Vrms.
