Buf is a tube buffer made by Schiit Audio and designed and built in the USA. It uses Schiit’s Coherence™ topology, combining tube voltage gain with a convolved BJT inverter operated in Class A, with selectable 0 dB or 12 dB gain and an NOS 6N1P tube; compatible tubes include 6922, ECC88, and 6DJ8. The unit features Panasonic film capacitors, a linear regulated power supply with dedicated 6 VAC tube-heater supply, 75-ohm output impedance, 470k-ohm input impedance, and 8.2V RMS maximum output.
