SB-5000 R|Evolution
The SVS SB-5000 R|Evolution is a sealed, front-firing powered subwoofer featuring a proprietary high-excursion 15-inch driver with dual edge-wound voice coils, an overhung motor, dual Nomex-composite spiders, and a cast-aluminum basket. Its dual-mono Class D amplifier topology uses eight 60 A, 200 V discrete MOSFETs, delivering 2,000 watts continuous and more than 5,000 watts peak, with a 295 MHz Analog Devices DSP, switch-mode power supply, and active power-factor correction. Frequency response is specified at 17–280 Hz ±3 dB, with balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, Bluetooth control through the SVS app, six parametric equalizers, room-gain compensation, and an OLED rear-panel interface.
