C-580
The Aavik C-580, made by Aavik, is a separate control/pre amplifier with line inputs, RCA line output, 76 dB volume control in 1 dB steps, and an optional active analog crossover adjustable from 60–160 Hz. Its line stage uses an inverted virtual-GND amplifier topology, with <0.005% THD, 10 kΩ input impedance, 50 Ω output impedance, and maximum output of 8.5 Vrms. The unit incorporates 108 active Tesla coils, 228 active square Tesla coils, 10 dither-circuitry stages, a switchless optical input board, and a solid-copper inner chassis; it measures 400 × 384 × 102 mm and weighs 8.1 kg.
