The Nagra HD PREAMP is a tube audio preamplifier manufactured by Nagra, designed as a companion to the HD AMP. It uses a dual-mono, no-feedback tube signal path with two selected and tested E88CC tubes, transformer-tap volume control using custom output transformers, and an external SuperCapacitor power supply combining low noise with high current capability. Specifications include an input impedance above 50 kΩ, output impedance below 0.2 Ω at −15 dB volume, a stated 5 Hz–200 kHz frequency response, dynamic range above 150 dB, and a 30 kg combined preamplifier and power-supply weight.
