The Nagra CLASSIC PREAMP is a Class A tube stereo preamplifier made by Nagra, with two 12AX7/ECC83 tubes and one 12AT7/ECC81 tube selected by the Nagra Laboratory. It uses bespoke polypropylene capacitors for decoupling and interstage applications, separate ultra-low-noise right- and left-channel power supplies, and a high-quality headphone amplifier circuit derived from the Nagra HD DAC. Connectivity comprises one XLR and four RCA inputs, two XLR and one RCA outputs, and a true-bypass XLR connector; its frequency response is 10 Hz–50 kHz (+0/-0.5 dB), with switchable 0 dB or +12 dB output gain.
