CB

Introduced 2015$5,000 MSRP

The Schröder CB ("Captive Bearing") is a German-designed pivoted tonearm from Frank Schröder, using magnetically centered and pre-loaded hybrid ceramic bearings and a unique eddy-current induction damping system for lateral movement, an unusual departure from the unipivot designs Schröder is also known for. The armwand is offered in a multi-layer carbon-fiber-and-composite construction or in dense tonewoods such as Kingwood, ebony, grenadil, or cocobolo, chosen to create an impedance mismatch that helps dissipate unwanted vibration.
