The Pro-Ject Audio Systems Phono Box DS3 B is a phono preamplifier made in Europe by Pro-Ject. It uses a fully discrete, dual-mono, fully symmetrical gain stage with split passive RIAA equalization and supports balanced and single-ended operation through 5-pin mini XLR, XLR, and RCA inputs. Its steel-and-aluminium casework includes stepless 10–1000-ohm or fixed 47 kΩ input impedance, selectable 50/150/300/400 pF capacitance, 40–65 dB gain, RCA and XLR outputs, and a 20 Hz subsonic filter with 18 dB/octave slope.
