The Pro-Ject Audio Systems Phono Box S3 B is an entry-level phono preamplifier for MM and MC cartridges. It uses a fully discrete, symmetrical gain stage with semi-passive RIAA equalization, True Balanced input via 5-pin mini XLR, and balanced XLR and RCA outputs. Its steel-and-aluminium enclosure provides selectable input impedance of 10, 50, 100, 1k, or 47k ohms, input capacitance of 50, 150, 300, or 400 pF, and gain of 40, 45, 60, or 65 dB.
