The Tube Box S2 is a tube phono preamplifier made by Pro-Ject Audio Systems for MM and MC cartridges. It uses a fully discrete circuit without operational amplifiers, dual-mono circuitry, a FET input stage, two replaceable ECC83 (12AX7A) tubes, and two-part passive/active RIAA equalization. Its aluminium/metal sandwich casing is designed to reduce vibration and electromagnetic interference; specifications include selectable gain from 40 to 63 dB, input impedance settings from 10 ohms to 2 kohms plus 47 kohms, and gold-plated RCA inputs and outputs.
