U-280
The Aavik U-280 Unity amplifier is an integrated amplifier and DAC manufactured by Aavik, rated at 2 × 300 W into 8 ohms with 0.006% distortion. It uses Aavik’s UMAC™ amplifier topology with sine-wave PWM generation and dual mixed-mode feedback, a common amplifier/DAC mainboard, five digital inputs supporting PCM 24-bit/32–192 kHz and MQA, and USB support for DSD64/128. The unit has a natural-based composite enclosure designed to reduce mechanical resonance, a resonant-mode power supply, differential floating current-to-voltage conversion with virtual ground, and 72 active Tesla coils.
