Bifrost 2/64 is a digital-to-analog converter made by Schiit, with hardware-balanced topology using four Texas Instruments DAC8812 16-bit D/A converters. It includes a proprietary time- and frequency-domain digital filter implemented on an Analog Devices SHARC DSP with 8× oversampling, plus a non-oversampling mode, and uses a differential analog stage based on LME49724 or OPA1632 and OPA1656 devices. The unit has coaxial SPDIF, optical SPDIF, and Unison USB inputs supporting up to 24/192, RCA single-ended and XLR balanced outputs, a 24VA transformer power supply with eight regulation stages, and a chassis and transformers made in California.
