The PS Audio Stellar DAC is a digital-to-analog converter with I²S, coaxial, optical, and asynchronous USB inputs, supporting PCM up to 384 kHz and native DSD up to DSD256 via I²S. Its hybrid design incorporates Digital Lens technology, a CPLD/FPGA input stage, three selectable digital filters, and an ESS ES9018K2M DAC chip. Analog conversion uses a hand-matched Class A, balanced output stage with RCA single-ended and XLR balanced outputs, selectable fixed or variable operation, and no capacitors in the output signal path.
