The DAC Box E is a digital-to-analogue converter made by Pro-Ject Audio Systems for digital stereo sources. It uses a CS4344 24-bit/192 kHz D/A converter, coaxial S/PDIF and optical TOSlink inputs, and supports PCM/LPCM stereo at 44.1, 48, and 96 kHz, plus 192 kHz via coaxial input. Its design includes SMD circuitry, special low-noise components, internal metal shielding, gold-plated RCA output sockets, a linear audio circuit with low output impedance, and an outboard 18 V/500 mA DC power supply.
