The Aavik U-288 is an integrated amplifier combining a streamer, DAC, line stage, and power amplifier in one enclosure. It uses Pascal Class D amplifier technology with UMAC switching modulation, and includes active Tesla coils, 144 active square Tesla coils, six dither-circuitry units, and eight anti-aerial-resonance coils for noise reduction. Its speaker output is rated at 2 × 300 W into 8 ohms or 2 × 600 W into 4 ohms, with 0.0028% THD+N at 1 W, 1 kHz, 8 ohms; digital inputs support PCM up to 32-bit/384 kHz, MQA, DSD64, and DSD128.
