Aavik U-188 is an all-in-one unity amplifier made by Aavik, an Audio Group Denmark brand, integrating a streamer, DAC, preamplifier, and stereo power amplifier. Its power section uses a Pascal L-PRO2 UMAC class-D module with an embedded power supply, delivering 300/600 W per channel into 8/4 Ω; it supports PCM up to 24-bit/192 kHz via S/PDIF, up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD128 via USB, and includes UPnP, DLNA, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and Roon-ready streaming. The enclosure combines external steel, wood-based laminate, and internal copper shielding, with a titanium volume/source-control ring, 36×/72× active/squared Tesla coils, zirconium-rod anti-aerial-resonance coils, a Sabre DAC, and analog resistor-ladder volume attenuation.
