PX-8 Phono Preamplifier
The PX-8 Phono Preamplifier Optical Cartridge Input Option adds compatibility with DS Audio photo-optical cartridges, alongside the PX-8’s moving-coil and moving-magnet support. It uses fully balanced, discrete, zero-feedback circuitry with Ayre’s Diamond Output Stage, with left- and right-channel circuits installed directly into the main circuit board from the rear of the PX-8. The user-installable option is automatically detected and labeled by the preamplifier.
