PX-8 Phono Preamp Input Options

The Ayre PX-8 is a phono preamplifier in the analog category, using a fully balanced, zero-feedback topology with discrete ultra-low-noise JFET circuitry, Ayre’s Diamond Output Stage, and two-stage passive RIAA equalization. It provides balanced and single-ended inputs and outputs, electronically adjustable cartridge loading from 50Ω to 47kΩ, and selectable gain of 45, 55, 65, or 75 dB. Optional configurations add a DS Audio photo-optical cartridge input and an analog-to-digital output supporting PCM, DSD, USB, S/PDIF, TOSLINK, and AES/EBU formats.
