The Wand

14-4 Master

The Wand 14-4 Master is a belt-drive turntable with three-point Zentroidal suspension, a Baltic plywood double-plinth construction, and a 14-inch aluminium platter with bonded acrylic surface. Its DC motor uses a flat, low-stretch belt, electronic speed control, a self-adjusting servo, and a steel-shaft main bearing in a vibration-absorbing sleeve. The Master package adds the Wand Iso Base with battery power, IsoAcoustics Gaia feet, a carbon-fibre Wand Mat and top deck, and is supplied with the Wand Master tonearm; the reviewed example used the 10.3-inch arm and a Hana Umami Blue MC cartridge.
