The Yamaha AD8HR is an 8-channel remotely controllable microphone preamplifier and 24-bit/96-kHz analog-to-digital converter in a 1U rackmount chassis. Its eight microphone preamps use analog circuitry derived from the PM5000 console, with remote 1 dB gain control, channel high-pass filters, and switchable phantom power. It provides eight XLR inputs, dual D-sub 25-pin AES/EBU digital outputs, BNC word-clock input and output, and RS422 or switchable PC/RS422 nine-pin remote-control connections.
