The Pick it MM 5 is a moving-magnet phono cartridge manufactured by Ortofon and voiced by the Pro-Ject Audio Systems design team. It uses Ortofon split-pole pins, a nude elliptical stylus with an 8/18 µm tip radius, and a cantilever based on high-end DJ cantilevers; the cartridge has a 1/2-inch mounting standard with threaded holes. Specifications include 4 mV output, 20–25,000 Hz frequency response (±2 dB), 25 dB channel separation at 1 kHz, 1.8 g recommended tracking force, 47 kΩ recommended load resistance, 150–300 pF recommended load capacitance, and 7.2 g weight.
