The KEF Reference 2 Meta is a three-way closed-box centre-channel speaker that can also be used as a left-centre-right speaker. It uses a 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array with a 25 mm aluminium-dome tweeter with MAT and a 125 mm aluminium-cone midrange driver, plus two 165 mm aluminium-cone bass drivers. It has a 65 Hz–45 kHz free-field frequency range, 80 Hz–35 kHz ±3 dB response, 86 dB sensitivity, 4 Ω impedance with a 3.2 Ω minimum, and 50–300 W amplifier requirements; it is designed, engineered, and handcrafted by KEF in Maidstone, Kent, UK.
