MONICA Mk3

MONICA Mk3 is a fully balanced pre-amplifier made by Engström, with three balanced XLR and three unbalanced RCA inputs per channel, plus two balanced XLR and two unbalanced RCA outputs per channel. Its circuit uses a balanced two-totem-pole topology with four triode elements per channel and no negative feedback; all inputs are transformer-coupled with a 40 kΩ impedance. The power supply uses one 6080WC and one ECC83 tube, while the signal path uses four 5687WA or four E182CC tubes; amplification is 6 dB, with a frequency response of +0/−3 dB from 10 Hz to 40 kHz.
