The Holo Audio May KTE is the flagship variant of Holo Audio's May DAC, a discrete resistor-ladder (R2R-style, though the maker avoids the "R2R" label) converter using a dual-mono, two-chassis design that isolates the DAC circuitry from a dedicated dual-transformer power supply. It can run in true non-oversampling mode on its custom discrete ladder architecture or switch to an oversampling mode using an onboard AKM AK4137 chip, and the KTE trim adds pure silver internal wiring, hand-selected DAC modules, and upgraded capacitors and fuses over the base L1/L2 models.
