It uses a new ultra-lightweight "Ceramic/Tancast 8" plinth construction with a skeletal sub-platter, the exotic ceramic-oxide platter, and Rega's flagship RB3000 tonearm, and has been praised by *Stereophile* and *What Hi-Fi?* as competitive with turntables costing far more.
