The Soavo-1 is a three-way speaker system manufactured by Yamaha. It uses Advanced PMD diaphragms for the woofers and midrange, an aluminium dome tweeter with DC-Diaphragm™, edge-wound ribbon wire voice coils, Kurt Müller spiders and surrounds, and neodymium midrange magnets. Its birch-veneer, open-pore cabinet has non-parallel surfaces, mitered-joint construction, a two-chamber design with a slanted partition and vertical bracing, a chamfered tweeter baffle with a diecast aluminium plate, and an independent direct crossover connection using high-quality parts including a Solen capacitor.
