The Colibri
The Colibri is Van den Hul's top-of-the-line, custom hand-built moving-coil cartridge; the XGP variant uses matched-crystal gold-wire coils in a carbon-nylon plastic (P-type) body and is one of several body/coil combinations (W wood, P plastic, M metal, A amber) offered under the Colibri name. It uses Van den Hul's proprietary Type 1S stylus profile and a minimized magnetic circuit with no front pole piece to shorten the cantilever and reduce distortion.
