The Electrocompaniet AW 400 is a monoblock power amplifier based on the design philosophies of the AW 180M. It has a 330 kΩ fixed input impedance, output impedance below 0.01 Ω from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, frequency response of DC–65 kHz at −3 dB, and a maximum peak current above 150 A. Rated output power is 400 W into 8 Ω, 765 W into 4 Ω, and 1,010 W into 2 Ω; the amplifier is specified as stable down to 0.5 Ω.
