AW 800 M Reference Monoblock Power Amplifier
The Electrocompaniet AW 800 M is a reference monoblock power amplifier made by Electrocompaniet. It uses a direct-coupled, high-open-loop-bandwidth topology with high-slew-rate, very-high-bandwidth amplifier stages and a newly designed output stage that isolates the input and driver stages from the load. Its power supply includes 210,000 µF of filtering, DC- and RF-filtered mains input, and two magnetically and electrostatically shielded toroidal transformers; operating modes include mono, stereo, and bi-amping, and the chassis uses a modular construction with black brushed-aluminum rods.
