AX-5 Twenty Integrated Amplifier

The Ayre AX-5 Twenty is a stereo integrated amplifier rated at 125 watts per channel continuous into 8 ohms and 250 watts per channel into 4 ohms. It uses zero-feedback, fully balanced discrete circuitry with Ayre’s Diamond output stage, Equilock circuit, linear analog power supply, and Variable Gain Transimpedance volume control with 46 steps of 1.5 dB each. The amplifier provides 26 dB of gain, a frequency response of DC–250 kHz, 1 MΩ unbalanced and 2 MΩ balanced input impedance, and includes AyreLink communication and an Ayre Conditioner power-line RFI filter.
