The Weiss HELIOS is a professional-level digital-to-analog converter for high-end home audio, derived from Weiss Engineering’s professional mastering-studio product line. It accepts AES/EBU and S/PDIF via XLR, Toslink, and RCA, plus UPnP/DLNA over Ethernet, USB, and Roon Ready connectivity; supported formats include PCM from 44.1 to 384 kHz and DSD64/128, with a maximum input word length of 24 bits. Its topology includes discrete OP2-BP-based balanced and unbalanced line/headphone output stages, separate adjustable line and headphone levels, and onboard DSP algorithms including room, creative, headphone, loudness, and crossfeed equalization, de-essing, constant volume, vinyl emulation, and crosstalk cancellation.
