The STAX SR-007S is an open-air electrostatic earspeaker with large circular push-pull sound elements, renewed diaphragms and fixed electrodes, a 6–41,000 Hz frequency response, 145 kΩ impedance, 110 pF capacitance, and a DC580V bias voltage. It uses a single-piece stainless-steel anti-resonance arc with hinged movable sections, rotating ear pads with genuine leather on the skin-contact portion and high-quality artificial leather on the surrounding portion, and a detachable 2.5 m OFC parallel six-strand cable. The unit weighs 430 g without the cable and has 101 dB sensitivity at 100 Vr.m.s. and 1 kHz.
