The Yamaha YST-SW315 is a discontinued powered subwoofer with a down-firing 10-inch long-stroke cone driver and a 250-watt PWM digital drive amplifier. It uses Yamaha Advanced Active Servo Technology, combining negative-impedance feedback in the amplifier with a Helmholtz resonator, and has a frequency range of 20–160 Hz. The cabinet is constructed from thick MDF and includes continuously variable high-cut filtering from 40–140 Hz, dual line-level or speaker-level inputs, magnetic shielding, and selectable normal/reverse phase.
