Gungnir Upgrades are manufacturer-installed upgrades from Schiit Audio for the first-generation Gungnir DAC, not Gungnir 2. Options include a Unison USB input board with a Microchip PIC32 32-bit receiver, electromagnetic and electrostatic isolation, DAC-powered low-noise reclocking and latching sections, and separate precision clocks for 44.1- and 48-kHz multiples; the Gungnir Multibit upgrade adds an analog and DSP board with a closed-form digital filter, four AD5781BRUZ multibit DACs for hardware-balanced operation, and discrete JFET buffers.
