Ampeggio Preamp

The Voxativ Ampeggio Preamp – Black Edition is a tube-based preamplifier handmade by Voxativ in Fulda, Germany, with three line inputs, one MC phono input, and two preamp outputs. It uses solid-state rectification, no chokes, tube-regulated voltages, a 46-step motor-driven infrared-controlled attenuator using high-end resistors, Mundorf output capacitors, silver signal wiring, and a separate power supply; its MC phono stage uses four tubes and Lundahl MC step-up transformers. Specifications include a 5–50,000 Hz frequency response, 102 dB signal-to-noise ratio, 0.1% distortion, 150 W power consumption, black finish, dimensions of 17 × 10 × 19 inches (43 × 25 × 47 cm), and weight of 22 lb (10 kg) plus a 15 lb (7 kg) power supply.
