The Rotel DX-3 is a digital-to-analog converter and headphone amplifier with single-ended 6.35 mm and balanced 4.4 mm headphone outputs, plus RCA and XLR outputs for active loudspeakers. It uses an ESS Sabre ES9028PRO 32-bit/768 kHz DAC, fully balanced Class A circuitry, externally implemented analogue output filters with discrete components, and a toroidal transformer with low-noise isolation and filter capacitors. It supports PC USB audio up to 32-bit/384 kHz, coaxial and optical inputs up to 24-bit/192 kHz, DSD up to 11.2 M, DoP up to 5.6 M, and aptX HD and AAC Bluetooth.
