The Yamaha NS-SW901 is a front-firing subwoofer with a built-in 600 W digital amplifier and a 25 cm (10") F.B.P. diaphragm made from paper blended with carbon and aramid fibers, mounted in a diecast aluminium frame. It uses Advanced YST II with Advanced Negative Impedance Converter (ANIC) circuits, a constant-gain PLL modulator, cross-feedback loop, and Active Power Control system. The cabinet features three-way mitered-joint construction, a 37 mm baffle, twin alder-wood linear ports, three BASS modes, three preset memories, and a continuously variable 40–140 Hz high-cut filter; its frequency response is 18–160 Hz and its weight is 32 kg.
