VK-80i

The Balanced Audio Technology VK80i is an all-tube stereo integrated amplifier using four 6SN7 dual triodes and four 6C33C-B power triodes in a push-pull triode output stage, rated at 55Wpc into 8- and 4-ohm loads. Its front end uses two long-tailed differential gain stages with approximately 3dB of negative global feedback, one balanced XLR input, three unbalanced RCA inputs, and a resistive-ladder volume control with 90 one-decibel steps. Automatic bias, individual output-tube bias circuits, soft start-up, thermal protection, continuous output-tube current monitoring, and selectable High, Medium, and Low impedance taps are provided.
