Miyajima Laboratory
Zero Mono
Introduced 2012$2,375 MSRP
The Miyajima Zero is a dedicated moving-coil monaural cartridge built in Japan around an African blackwood body, designed specifically for playing true mono LPs rather than deriving mono from a stereo cartridge. It is offered in "A" and "B" stylus variants — a 1.0-mil conical stylus for pre-1967 mono pressings and a 0.7-mil conical stylus for most post-1967 mono records — and Stereophile's reviewer described it as revelatory for mono record playback.
